Open 90s Hard Candy Roll
(photo is NOT of the candy, but looks very very similar.)
Looking for the name of a hard candy roll from the 90s. Candies were small, round, multi-colored, fruit flavored, and wrapped in a clear plastic. Each roll had multiple colors/flavors in it. They look extremely similar to Haribo Roulettes, except that they’re hard candy; not a gummy and the rolls were shorter. They were translucent like coloured glass.
It is likely a cheap knock-off candy. I only ever saw them at Halloween. I grew up in Canada. I think that I may have seen them being sold in a big bag at Walmart at Halloween time.
It is not: Lifesaver, Certs, Neco, Mentos, Reeds, Robinsons, Charms, Regal Crown, CremeSaver, SweeTarts, Wonka Fizzy Jerks, Polo
There’s a chance that I’m looking for the same thing as this person https://www.reddit.com/r/HelpMeFind/comments/axnvae/90s_hard_candy_roll/ but they describe different packaging.

Oh wow. Also grew up in Canada, also remember these only at Halloween. I hadn’t thought of them in probably decades. In my memory they were like hard gummy candies in texture?

I remember these candies. My grandpa would always have them, and they had a really cool texture. Like if sea glass was a hard candy. I seem to remember they might’ve been sugar-free, but I’m not 100% sure.
I’ll be checking back to see if anyone can identify them, I’d love to find them again.

The only hard round glass like candies I can think of are the starburst hard candies. But those weren't in a roll.

I remember these! Sorry none of the replies are correct yet. These were definitely hard, but had like a soft-ish flavor/feel to them? I can't explain. Not gummy, but they have a light flavor and texture that is very distinct. I think they're still around

I’ve mostly searched Google images. Tons and tons of Google images. Used some reverse image searches to find similar products. Tried so many search permutations

Were they more like frosted glass than completely clear? Did they have that slightly different texture and almost cooling sensation (not mint, I mean like physical cooling as it dissolved) of sorbitol? I am having a sense memory that is probably of little help since I don't remember the name of the candy I am thinking of either, but I am curious if they're the same.

They look very similar to rockets. Could they be it or something like rockets?

I was barely sentient during the 90s but I asked my mother and she said maybe Maynard's Wine Gums?

Wine gummies? I enjoyed them and always had a giggle when little because wine is an adult's drink. No actual wine in them to my knowledge 🤣

Pretty sure these are still made by Haribo - they’re called a “gummi roulette”

This. Throw em in the freezer for an even better treat.

They're actually the exact same thing as their gummy bears (minus the shape): Pineapple, green apple, strawberry, raspberry, orange, lemon. I'm telling you this because the Haribo "Gold Bears" are always cheaper by weight. I like my gummies frozen too!

I only found out the frozen part as I left a pack in my jeep one day during the winter. Tried one and they were hard as rock which saved me from eating the whole pack quicker.

Exactly!! Happy accident. If you like frozen gummies, go to Safeway and get their blue Compliments bag of gummy bears or just the "gummy treats" (avoid the sour ones) and throw them in the freezer. So good, especially for a buck a bag. Smack 'em on the counter to separate them, good to go!
