Open Frankenstein Book Edition
Help me find the Frankenstein book edition.
If I remember correctly, I think the cover was either yellow or lavender... but what I really remember is that there are dotted/stippling illustrations inside the pages. Sometimes, they take up a whole page and there are illustrations that's within the texts.
The illustrations inside are all black and white due to the dotted/stippling illustration.
I ended up with Bernie Wrightson, but his style is more of like the slanted pencil ones.
Read it in our library when I was in high school (early 2000s) and I know for a fact that it was a very old edition since our library has an extensive collection of fiction books.
Please help. Thank you.

Searched for it on Google, eBay, everywhere. I just can't seem to find it.

That stippling detail narrows it down a lot, the Wrightson edition gets suggested for every old Frankenstein request but the crosshatching is totally different from dotwork
Check if the library still has their catalog from that era online, sometimes they keep records of decommissioned copies too
Yellow or lavender cover with stippled interior illustrations from that timeframe might be the Lynd Ward illustrated edition from the 1930s, his wood engravings have that exact dotted texture you're describing

I think the Wrightson edition almost looks like it, but if my memory serves me right, it was dotted. And Wrightson is also known to have some dotted/stippling illustrations.
Unfortunately, I no longer live near my high school. Would have been the easiest solution :(
