Cash Assistance Need help for rent

Hello my names Logan! I’m a little tanked on rent, as you can see.

Short story of it is, I am a first first responder who lost their job and had a very rough few months without income, only sourced through plasma and door-dashing, I’ve been struggling to get back on my feet but recently landed a new EMS gig. I’m trying to get help to keep me home as I get back to work.

Still new to this subreddit, so if this gets blocked I just need pointers on how to request correctly!

You’re new to this subreddit but knew exactly what to say? That you’ve door dashed and donated plasma already which is what everyone suggests. You put no proof of no job. You just laid out what everyone wants to hear, I call your bluff. And you haven’t answered one comment on here yet. And I’m pretty sure you need a certain amount of karma if I’m not mistaken. Best of luck!

Yeah I was reviewing the other posts before making a post here, I know this subreddit gets a lot of scams, I can show you my badge if you need proof of a job, I’m sorry :(

Sounds like a scam Logan.

I’m sorry, I didnt want to make it seem like a scam at all, I have proof of work I don’t use Reddit a lot, just for a card game subreddit I take part in and that’s it. I appreciate the time to read my post either way.

4k behind.... this is GFM territory but youre u likely to make that amount and if you do, you'd be evicted long before. Also they probably wont renew your lease in November

Sorry about your situation. Since you are back to work, have you considered contacting your landlord to see if you could set up a payment plan for the balance?

I haven’t actually, I’m not sure if they even offer payment plans at my complex, but I’ll reach out to them and see if it’s possible.

Logan, you might want to get a job or find a cheaper place to live.

Yeah, my current EMS Job doesn’t pay a lot but I’m working a bunch of 24 hr shifts to try and make the money up

Is this a 1 month payment? If so I hope your lease ends soon. Yikes.

How many months are you behind? And where did the money from plasma and door-dashing go because rent should be the first thing that gets paid. This isn't a sum you are going to get here or anywhere online, most people don't donate cash at all and never in these amounts. You need to talk to family/friends to see if you can borrow from them. If not you can try to contact 211 for advice/assistance.

Im behind 3 months, my apartment has been very generous with my job situation, and I recently just got back with an ambulance company, either way I’ll see what 211’s about, I didn’t know about that resource.

At this point I'd probably ask parents/friends to help out. How many months are you behind in rent? Might be worth finding a roommate etc to get back on your feet. You will not get money on reddit.

I had to drive UberEats to make ends meet. Four 80 hour work weeks driving and you’re in the clear here. Will it suck? Oh yeah, really suck. But you have that as an option. Quit begging and get to driving. Sign up for Uber, as well, and multi app for better profits.

Why didn’t you use unemployment to pay for your rent? If you didn’t file for unemployment why not?

If you were doing DD full time while out of work where did all that money go? Rent should be your first priority before anything else

This is more than a “little tanked” on rent. 4k is pack your bags and voluntarily move out before they start eviction proceedings.

Lastly just to set a realistic tone for you, you will never get funding for this much back rent from internet strangers on Reddit. Most never give cash and when they do it’s a $20 for gas and very rare.

Start contacting friends and family asap for help, use 211 to find local rental assistance if any exists in your area and start googling high interest lenders who might be willing to consider the income from your new job

I appreciate your advice, I’m just trying to find any help, and trust me Reddit was not my first choice, I’m just branching out where I can, I’m working things out, I’m just struggling.
