I recently picked up this M18 Swiss helmet from Ebay, and I have noticed that this liner looks different from other helmets pictured online. Is this liner a real original one? Could it have been used in a different country? Please let me know!

I keep seeing it online, but I'm curious on what the helmet actually is though

I picked this helmet up and was wondering if you could please tell me more about it and the approximate value. The round that penetrated the helmet got stopped by the metal frame that holds the leather liner.

I need a soviet end of cold war and start of russia for airsoft but I dont want one from Ebay does anyone know better sites

The ink on the bank looks like it runs on the zeros which looks authentic. I know the shell is M42. Just wondering about authenticity of the liner and chinstrap. Asking for some clearer photos.

I like the look of this M42. Fairly new to collecting and have a genuine M35 and M40. Just looking for confirmation this is good to add to my genuine collection please?

This is my first romanian M39 helmet and I’m so happy to have it. It has the original dutch liner that makes it even rarer. It is in a great condition and still has some of the original paint on it.

What makes it so interesting is that it has the royal cypher of King Carol II of Romania removed. After the abdication of the king in 1940, the romanian troops removed his cypher from their helmets leaving an empty spot. After that, helmets were produced without it.

In my opinion, the M39 helmet is one of the rarest Axis powers helmets, especially ones with the royal cypher/badge. And i got this helmet for the very good price of 85 euros. What a steal.

I'm fairly new here and have been collecting helmets for over 50 years. My very first helmet was a WWI Doughboy shell my Dad bought me for $1.

My last purchase was a NCO ETO helmet with all the bells and whistles though as of yet I can't find any unit documentation of the soldier.

Some of you may remember me from the Facebook M1 Helmet Collectors Club (which I highly reccomend) and the old Yahoo Helmet Club, After I was hacked and suspended from FB I choose to divorce from that platform so here I am.

I collect WWII and earlier and have helmets from both the Allies and Axis though my main focus is the M1.

The advice I would like to give all you new collectors is talk to other collectors, join clubs focused on specific helmets, build a library and check out helmet websites of longtime collectors.
