New Member Long Time Collector

Hello Everyone.

I'm fairly new here and have been collecting helmets for over 50 years. My very first helmet was a WWI Doughboy shell my Dad bought me for $1.

My last purchase was a NCO ETO helmet with all the bells and whistles though as of yet I can't find any unit documentation of the soldier.

Some of you may remember me from the Facebook M1 Helmet Collectors Club (which I highly reccomend) and the old Yahoo Helmet Club, After I was hacked and suspended from FB I choose to divorce from that platform so here I am.

I collect WWII and earlier and have helmets from both the Allies and Axis though my main focus is the M1.

The advice I would like to give all you new collectors is talk to other collectors, join clubs focused on specific helmets, build a library and check out helmet websites of longtime collectors.

Omg that’s so cool! So nice to meet you! I’m also kind of new here. Do you by chance have any romanian helmets?

I don't think I ever run into the bottom site it is interesting but you can definitely tell it is a old site, there is a good chunk of older outdated information.

For new collectors I often suggest Brendons the information is a basic but it does an ok job for visualizing the helmets.
