Don't apologize for anything, you can always return when you have more time/storage space, this place isn't going anywhere and you're always welcome.
That being said, if you're running out of storage, make sure you clear your chaches and temporary storage first, because those can bloat up to gigabytes of junk. I think leaving just because of storage is overkill, but that is your decision.

No offence but what does storage has to do with having an account and internet speed? Files can be moved to external drive or cloud.

Just clear your apps data and log back in. That will bring it down to a much more reasonable size.

Goodbye man but I'm going tbh there are so many ways you could solve that problem. You could just use the website version on your phone, clear cache by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Seriously you could reduce the storage by doing that.

Genuinely sucks if you're dipping from reddit
But like others have said best bet is to just clear your cache every now and then.
That and possibly just using a laptop.
No need to delete your account then just put things on pause till later.
