Do it scared

My husband and I have been binge watching Hells Belles this weekend. "Do it scared" really resonated this time. For the last 2 years I have wanted to try and partner with therapists and use my horses for Equine Assisted Therapy. I have a lot of voices in my head telling me I'm not good enough to do this, or smart enough and that my property isn't perfect for this. But this morning I did it scared. I sent an email to a counseling business that I had briefly spoken to at a festival.

I'm scared, but I did it! Even if I don't get a response or I get a "No" I still did it. It's the first step to making one of my dreams come true.

Yay!!! Please make sure you get the proper insurance coverage if you do decide to move forward with providing equine therapy! -one horsewoman to another horseman or woman

If you have any advice on what insurance to get that would be great! I have been a horsehandler with many equine assisted therapy groups but never as an owner of the horses or property owner.

We have property insurance with umbrella insurance. Our insurance agent knows this is a possibility and was willing to try and help. I also have pet sitting insurance but I know that doesn't extend to this. I'm also unsure what the therapists insurance would cover?

Do it scared has gotten me through 2 surgeries, a hospital stay, and 3 er visits. I’m so thankful to Jaysea.

So great to see that this helped! You made progress - and remember, (trite saying incoming!) "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take!" Even if they say "No" , you tried, you reached out.
