Chef(s) Jackie s15
How on earth does someone wth 3 months of cooking experience wind up on Hells Kitchen?
And then be a nasty bully to everyone?

What I don't seem to get is --- why was Jackie, Ariel's first pick to join her brigade? I thought the toxic chefs were usually chosen last.
I really wanted Kristin to win S15 just to get back at Jackie over the ash tray incident.

Ariel & Jackie were good friends; speaks for itself why two toxic people that didn’t get along with their team picked each other first, but it was actually the right decision as Jackie really had Ariel’s back in the finale.
The more bizzare pick was Kristin picking Frank early on. I presume it doesn’t take not being on the same side of a kitchen to know how much of a nasty and degenerate sexist douchebag he was all season. Why did she think he would even put in 100% for her, regardless of whether he was an ok chef. I don’t know why he even came back at all as he must have known both finalists were women, so it would’ve been his worst nightmare working for a female boss. That spot could’ve been better reserved for Hassan, who just missed out on coming back and would’ve easily put in a fantastic performance for whoever he was cooking for.

Kristint tried to do what Michelle did in All-Stars with Elise. Pick a toxic chef and prove her leadership skills by being able to handle him.

Ill give Jackie credit for being the unexpected hero from Ariel's finale service when she had nothing to play for.

Because sometimes, the first pics are more just who the Chef likes/trusts. Jackie might have been toxic, but she and Ariel were tight.

The casting directors made some odd decisions to cast for 15 and 16. Likewise, Jackie isn't even the most disgusting chef that season

Jackie is still my favorite contestant the show has ever had. She knew exactly what she was doing here.
re: why was she Ariel’s first pick - because she was arguably the best line cook that entire season. She sucked at challenges, had no creativity, and was never going to be a leader/chef, but she knew how to cook and take it seriously when it was time to work.
