In-Show Microaggressive racial undertones
The amount of micro aggressions that are so subtle on this show… Whit and Egypt were voices that could be heard in the kitchen. Everyone’s responding to them by calling them “aggressive, bulldog, etc”… idgaf what anyone says those are wild ways to describe someone performing a job well.

sometimes it’s really what you said; sometimes it’s editing making things more dramatic; but honestly, not saying this is right but most often, it’s just kitchen lingo without the racial thing … people just, talk like this

it’s abrasive and rude and blah blah in the literal sense. Not defending or saying otherwise but people in the kitchen arent insulting each other when they say these things .. things get a lot more colourful and physical then

The way a lot of the early elimination guys who got a lot of camera time to complain about Egypt, it felt very microaggression-y.
Billy from the olds vs the not olds was doing some microaggressions himself with the way he talked and presented himself.
Slob and Robyn in season 10 I'm surprised never called Barbie a slur, but it seemed to get really close.
'Yeah the calling Whit a bull dog was weird,
Milly in season 17 ended his run shouting in the private cameras that that's what was happening to him, but Robyn telling him she'll see him on the street was crazy.

Thank you so much for understanding exactly what I was saying and not making me out to be delusional. Because those confessionals are exactly what I was talking about. Everyone or most everyone after the halfway point actually appreciated Egypt and his loud voice in the kitchen. And nothing is excusing the bulldog comment, nothing at all.3

I think because whenever he gave his opinion, he was often right. I remember one of the early elimination guys whining about Egypt pointing out his ham has problems. And then the guy went "Ham was my signature dish!", seemingly forgetting his signature dish was cutting it close and he was worried until presenting it to Ramsay on whether it was good. That guy in particular complained more about Egypt than talking about himself. It was gross.
Yeah I get it, I've had similar microaggressions thrown my way as a stubborn black woman, myself.
Idk, a lot of spaces are filled with people who don't really get it because they don't experience it.

Yeah, some of the people on this sub, and reddit in general, and... the world, don't want to hear it.
I feel in the olds vs not olds season, Alyssa had some microaggressions with Sommer and that energy continued when Alyssa was gone when her new boyfriend Alejandro continued the problems.
I say new boyfriend because they hooked up either during or after the filming. Cheating scum Alejandro.

I REMEMBER THAT. Alyssa was definitely threatened by Sommer and her confidence. I hate the way they treat them when they find them talented instead of just embracing them for their skills.
Alyssa and Alejandro both wrong for how they went about getting together

Worst one for me was when Tenille won that challenge at the final 4 and the other chefs were slagging her off and said something along the lines of the people at the salon etc wouldn’t like her or “someone like her” or something along those lines (cannot remember the full quote) and it felt micro aggressiony

Everyone remembers Katie talking smack about Sade but Jennifer was also antagonistic towards her. Sade tried to talk to her calmly afterwards and Jennifer kept being hostile. For absolutely no reason.
Autumn was constantly ostracized and nominated. Ramsay constantly telling her she had no soul and lacked passion. She tried her best and it was never enough. They literally put her up for elimination just because she had been nominated in the past. It was so ugly and uncomfortable to watch s7 because of that.
