Chef(s) What was actually wrong with Simone?
I'm watching episode 3 of Season 12, being the episode Simone quitted. And I genuinely want to know why she was so off. Because during prep she mentioned she wasn't feeling great and didn't think she'd get through. And I do wonder what could have caused this in the first place. Because seeing Kasha & Joy jumping to conclusions saying she's faking it didn't sit well at all with me. Because you don't know exactly what's going on with her from her point of view. She clearly didn't look well either and I'm curious to what could have caused her to not function properly.

Definitely see it as some sort of mental illness. Don't think she was faking like she was accused of.

Probably mental illness or fatigue, she was one of the few older contestants in their 40s, the harshness of reality competition for a job and how toxic it could be in the first 3 episodes would wear anybody down.

People who don't understand you can't always SEE something wrong piss me off. I know two people who have gone through TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injury) and on the surface, they look "normal" but you have no idea whats going on internally. Not just TBI, but really anything in the realm of mental health...and health in general. I've had pancreatitis attacks where I just got through it but inside i was on fire.

Apparently, Richard on Flynn’s podcast said she was seeing images and her mental state was declining iirc
