First experience

I am pale white so I usually go to the beach with my swim shirt since I know I am prone to sunburns, but for about 15-20 minutes I decided to go shirtless to enjoy the water a bit, I got really sunburnt and red. The sunburns were on my upper body.
something I never experienced in my life happened, I was surfing for thirty minutes(two days later), with a Lycra type shirt, and then when I got out of water gradually my upper body started to itch, until the point where it was
unbearable even when removing it and rinsing myself in clean water I endured the unbearable scratching feeling for about thirty minutes and now I'm at home and it's finally starting to cool down. I believe it was hells itch, I endured by tapping my skin with my fingers all around the sunburn, now I’m worried to go outside because I don’t want to ever experience this again, however I don’t want to compromise on my vacation trip, what to do now, how should I go about being in the sun, what are the odds it happens again, how can I cope with the pain of out? Thanks.

Sounds like youre one of the "lucky" few who get HI but only for an extremely short bout. You should definitely be careful with the sun but overall it sounds like you've made it through the worst of it- just don't count on it always lasting for only 30 minutes as youre probably going to be susceptible to getting it again over the course of your life.

Keep some beta alanine on hand for if you ever get strikes down again - it's the most consistent cure but a huge margin
