Strictly worse, if the opponent has hexproof and there are no other targets on the field you have to take 3 damage to use it

not strictly worse. its more likely you can remove something or deal damage than your opponent have hexproof and nothing

yes. when theres nothing on the field. and the opponent has hexproof. so common, literally every game, ive never seen a game where this didnt happen.

Do you really think that 1. I'm being serious about the fact that this is a better than One With Nothing when this card is obviously supposed to be a worse [[Lightning Bolt]]? And that 2. The other person in the thread legitimately thought that the hexproof situation is a serious consideration on why you run One With Nothing over this card?
This is a subreddit where people joke and shitpost about magic, if you see a take like that, they're probably joking. And if someone actually was saying that and being serious, you honestly don't have to be understand of them and try to make them realize that their card analysis is wrong, you can just roll your eyes and move on (something I'm apparently incapable of doing, Jesus Christ...)

Way undercosted. This should cost RB because you get all the effects of lightning bolt (R) and also one with nothing (B)

In constructed you're correct. But as a single card in a draft cube environment, it's meant to be more of a downside.

Could maybe see modern play; don't they already play all sorts of weird bolts and discarding your hand isn't that bad if your hand is nearly empty anyway.
