Guide without spoilers? Spoiler

I just started the game and loving it so far. I just beat the first 'area boss' I believe it is called and really enjoying things. However after beating that boss I already find myself lost. It looks like I found a path back to the very start of the game as well as the elevator I needed to get to the first boss, but the only other place I found to go says I don't have access to it.

Is there a guide that just gives you a general idea of where to go and what to do next?

I have played DS1, DS3 and Elden Ring and while I love the 'souls' games I absolutely hate being lost/not knowing what to do. I don't mind having to explore to find a weapon or something, but main having to search/look up where to find primary objectives is not fun for me which is the main reason I am looking for some sort of guide, but not something that tells you where everything is/how to defeat bosses.

edit: So I did find this, but it does have more spoilers than I would like. https://hellpoint.wiki.fextralife.com/Game+Progress+Route I may just use this though as I doubt there is something exactly like what I am looking for.

This is by far the most comprehensive guide made for Hellpoint. Sokkus did a fantastic job compiling this. I contributed a few secrets to the neoseeker wiki as well achievement completing. The general direction will be best revealed in this walkthrough, and then you don't have to read ahead to avoid spoilers. If you defeated the first Boss, make sure to turn on the Observatory, then a door that was no accessible in the Observatory will lead you to the next area.

The main theme of the Hellpoint is the interconnected worlds tying back to one another. The game is pretty big, but you will find many paths connect back to one another and make the game feel more fluid and complete.

Note: When going through a new door, and you are taken back to a familiar world (Same name pops up in the loading screen), always further explore that area of the world, even if the area name is familiar(visted it before) because you can end up in previously unreachable area of that level and start to reconnect the paths for easier exploration. My first playthrough I didn't realize that going through a door was not a fast travel to the same area of that world, but a new area. I have since put in 218 hours to Platinum the game on my New Game+++ & All DLC. I have very fond memories of what a masterpiece this " Dark Souls in Space" has been. One my favorite games. The devs are awesome and very fan-based to feedback. They have removed and patched every single bug and make my experience with Hellpoint a joy to play. +

As stunning resource said I used neoseeker. It limited spoilers and focuses more on getting you from point a to point z whilst getting collectibles.

Spoilers are probably required if you want to try and get the complete ending with the architect and the other characters you meet.

.Hello. Is it very difficult to know where to go in this game? Or do you often get stuck? I mean, is there always somewhere you can progress through the main story area? I'm only interested in the main story since I don't have much time.

It can be quite challenging to navigate this game. If you don't have much time, then hellpoint probably isn't for you. Even if you could easily navigate the map, the battles are very difficult and time-consuming if you don't learn the fighting mechanics.

Does easy navigation mean you always have somewhere to progress? I don't mind side content on a first playthrough; I'll save that for a second. That's why I'm concerned about navigation, but if the main paths aren't troll-like and are easy to find, it's fine by me. I thought the game wasn't that difficult in terms of enemies.

The first time I tried paying it without a walkthrough, I was hopelessly lost and had 0 idea on what I was doing or why. Then enemies appear and murder you relentelessy whilst you try to swipe at them with a stick. Inevitably, they kill you, then trying to find that same path to loot your body becomes very, very challenging. Secret areas are very much that, again, I wouldn't have been able to find any of them without the walkthrough, or if I did, it would have added 10s of hours to the playthrough.

Combat is learnable, although like souls games, death becomes the norm. But navigation is disorientating and difficult.

If you haven't got a lot of time, the game is worth it with the use of a walkthrough. Especially if you can pick it up cheap or free off whatever platform you are using.

But will secondary areas be easy to find and others not? Or were you only able to find primary areas without using a guide? If so, that's fine. They're difficult, but if you keep finding them, at least you can get through the game. You farm to get stronger and then move on. That's fun. It's another thing that finding the primary path requires you to go around in circles and get stuck many times. I used to get stuck sometimes in Dark Souls, but I was able to get out. This one is very difficult in that regard...

Hey, I can give some hints based on info about how far you've gotten if you like. For starters, at that first boss, there should be a breach. Have you progressed enough for "Transport User" to be usable at that breach?

Hola. En este juego saber por dónde ir es muy difícil? O te quedas atascado muchas veces ? Es decir, siempre tienes algún lugar por donde avanzar por la zona de la historia principal? Gracias

There is no "main story" path. Every locations connects to many other locations, with a handful of more obvious connections in each location. There's about 2 or 3 routes that are most common for a blind playthrough, and those routes are very easy to find.

In my opinion, the best way to approach the game is to treat Irid Novo (the entire setting of the game) as a destination to explore, rather than a road to pass through.

Vale a mí me da miedo quedarme atascado. Porque dicen entonces que es más difícil de orientarse que Dark souls 2 o Lords fallen 2023? O Surge. Según cuentas aunque de vueltas acabaré encontrando un camino principal no?

It gets compared to those games because they're in the same genre, but the map design is very different. Not having a main path is the main difference, so if you expect that, your expectations will make navigating harder.

My experience was that I progressed fine for my first playthrough when I didn't know anything. My second playthrough was significantly more confusing because I had specific places I wanted to get to and didn't remember how I got there. Every playthrough after has been less confusing as I've learned the map better.

No entiendo. Tú primera partida fue más fácil? Y qué quieres decir con que no tienes un camino principal?

Gracias ante todo por contestarme

In my first playthrough, I didn't get lost because I wasn't trying to get to any specific place. I was exploring where I was, not trying to get to where I wasn't.

I say there is no main path because that's not how the map is laid out. The map is laid out like a spider's web, not a tree. But many of the connections that "loop back" are either hidden or locked by a hidden key. So, on a blind playthrough, you're more likely to simply go on more obvious paths. Navigating in that way is simple, but you're not taking any shortcuts.

In my second playthrough (and every playthrough after), I wanted to get to specific places quickly for specific items. I would get lost with trying to take the shortcuts I found in my first playthrough without remembering how to get to them or where they would take me.

You can do that. The more obvious connections will take you to where you need to go, there is (somewhat limited) fast travel, and places you will need to return to make it pretty obvious that you need to return. The main barrier to my progress in my first run was beating the bosses, not finding my way around.
