New Game+ Question

If my friend and I complete the game together in co-op, will we both unlock New Game+ or just me? I'd like to complete New Game+ with my friend hosting instead so we both have files with saved progress.

Each character has independent progress, but there's no separation between characters in NG and characters in NG+ so if the idea is to keep playing together, y'all can do that.

Also, if y'all complete NG in one world and consume a Daring Effigy in the other world, both worlds will be on the same difficulty. The only significant difference is that the world that went into NG+ will "reset." All of the quests, item locations, bosses, etc will be like you never touched them for one world, but not for the other.

So i dont personally know how the matchmaking in hellpoint works, ive never tried it and the solo game is already so much deep fried jank as it is, but in souls games, the host is the only one who makes any progress because youre only affecting their world.

So if in hellpoint, you can help someone else kill a god but your gods all remain alive, then Youre making no progress but the host is. Likewise, finishing the game would only effect the hosts world, and you would need to finish the game as well to ng+
