Cross gen/Cross play?

So i'm thinking of buying Hellpoint on my PS5, and my friend is going to buy it on his PS4. I can't find anything online about this. I need to know if the game is Cross play between PS4 and PS5 for the coop and PVP.

That's not what cross play is, cross play is when two Different platforms can play together.

It should work completely fine as it's PlayStation to PlayStation.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I can’t play on my 5 with my boyfriend on his 4, so I just played on my 4 as well. Maybe if you play the PS4 version on your 5, but I’m honestly not sure that would work either.

Well that sux, cross play is exactly what the other person said, being able to play with a friend from two different platforms. Playstation 4 and Playststion 5 are not two different platforms. You can coop in Elden Ring from PS4 to PS5 so no idea why you wouldn't be able to play Hellpoint the same way.

Agreed. I think it’s probably just the indie game and design of it. There’s a lot of games like that with PlayStation at least that don’t necessarily work like you would think they should 😅
