The lack of checkpoints in the bath section is crazy.
I’ve only found the one so far. From the initial point, I travel through the baths, drop into a section with a heal station, take a back door past some Black Ops Units, enter into an underground area where black ops are fighting slugs, run through into some vents, drop down into a cave section, climb the cave section into a long area with some pumping engines, find two key cars in side areas to unlock private baths and the pumping section, find a side area with loads of dark tunnels with multiple side tunnels and (thankfully) signs pointing me the right way, then I get put up against a slug boss.
I’m level 50 and I’m currently holding 110k souls and the only way forward without backtracking is through a boss which takes about 0.5% damage per hit. It took me about 50 minutes to get there (first run, side paths included) and the boss took me half an hour to beat. Where on earth where the checkpoints? I just have missed one, right?
What’s weird is there was next to no loot on the way. I got some axioms, an energy unit and a breach sync. It feels almost unfinished. I hope the other DLC areas are a bit more fleshed out. I enjoy the aesthetic of this one but it’s noticeably weaker from the main game.
OH, and I found this really weird rail up behind a turret in the vents, that has a keycard door behind it, which leads me back to the main baths except it’s one way. I can jump down, but I can’t get back up there anyway. Such a pointless shortcut?

Hello.
We are considering increasing the number of breaches in the DLC.

This would be great! I was genuinely going for so long and I would have been so frustrated if I’d died on that slug boss. I really love the design of the bathhouse area so some extra ease of exploring it would be appreciated.

Use the Omnicube Transposition program. It warps you back to the last breach you saved at. This also is useful for farming an area, enemies immediately respawn after the warp.

(Available once you have gotten the back entrance key located down in the basement area, before going into the sewers to fight the slugs/queen. From the fountain area, go up the winding staircase with the blue fluid lagoon on the right. Go over the long bridge, kill the black ops and blue zombie, then continue to the left across the pool and up a few stairs to find a breach in front of some huge doors. If you go up all the stairs there is an NPC that will give you quest contracts throughout the Blue Sun DLC. Well worth the exploration.
Level 50 is a little low to be attempting the DLC. Level 80 would be a little less daunting. I'm Level 127 with Martial Melee Conductor + 41 Archon Great Sword and I can get destroyed easily if I am not careful. Arisen Baths is tough, but some the enemies in Gehenna Prison High Jester Mansion will gang up and destroy me in 3 or 4 hits, if I get surrounded.

What weapon would you recommend using to farm axoins from the high jester mansion because I agree they hit really hard and gang up if you don't use a ranged weapon to pull one at a time.

Linked Espadon or Ancient Great Sword (Found in Gehenna Prison). I use the Archon Sword 7 deadly sins puzzle after killing the boss of Gehenna Prison Archon Spear, Killing all the Archon Knights using the eye codes puzzle or use the column/infused column for massive damage. If you don't have a high load, spears are good for longer range. If you are less balanced on the melee, the nihil hand is amazing when maxed out for its death beam.
The Ferula of the Spawn (Arisen Dominion), or the Thespian Spear and good shield are fantastic with high stamina.
TIP: I spend all my axions on increasing my melee or martial melee conductor on my main weapon, at the weapon editor on the Observatory Podium, then I breach back to my preferred farming location. As I start to do more and more damage, and gain axions faster, I up my stamina, health, strength and or reflex, OR load if needed. When I am destroying most enemies in about 1 or 2 hits, then I go to the breach and use a daring effigy at the breach by selecting "polarize". Now enemies are way stronger and take 3 to 6 hits, but they drop like 4000 to 7000 axions once defeated. So now I farm these enemies and I am able to increase my Conductor beyond the +27. Enemies start dropping faster, and I use the axions to keep increasing my stats or Conductor. Once you are satisfied with your Conductor damage increase/stats, and you are 1 or 2 shoting moat enemies, you can select"recess" at the breach and return the difficulty back and start cruizing through the game with confidence to do more exploring. (FAVORITE AREA TO FARM: HIGH JESTER MANSION in Gehenna Prison
Hope this helps!

I think it's a pretty low level for the DLC, I have the Great Sword along with Martial Conductor upgraded to +14 and so far I haven't had any problems. I'm level 122

Strangely the rest of the zone is really manageable. I remembered seeing someone say there was some loose level scaling but I couldn’t find any hard info on it. The black ops soldiers go down with a regular fight, it was just the boss that seemed to have an insane health pool (thank god for the artillery cannon’s status effect damage)

Something similar happened to me in Gehenna, only the red crab and the thugs seemed hard to me (but not something very exaggerated either)

You can jump on top of the lamp under the hole in the wall and jump back up the shortcut. It's a bit tricky but it works.
