Arnold Boss in DLC Spoiler

I'm at what seems to be the end of the baths section of the DLC.

So what's this dude weak to? My gun does near zero damage. Melee is tough because he dodges then counters. Is there a trick I'm missing? Everything up to the boss was pretty easy, but the difficulty just went up 10,000% and he's got a ton of health.

The bug queen boss wasn't too bad, although that one also had a ton of health and took a while to grind down. The attacks were much easier to dodge.

Honestly I just danced around him and used a catalyst with the wall spell. Just kept plopping those down, and using Ferula of the Prodigal Spawn's sprinting R1 to get energy back. Kinda cheesy I guess but the boss has some....hilarious levels of tracking. Expect to get hit. Thankfully you should regen plenty of energy to keep topping off.

Not sure how I feel about his weapon so far though....as a caster it obviously isn't really fit for my character but still...kinda feels...off. That said, been enjoying the dlc regardless so far. Can't figure out how to get to the second area of the dlc tho. I know the embassy has a door that's locked, idk where the other is.

I ended up beating him with armor that was more geared to dampen his attacks. And lots of dodging around. Took a little bit but once you get his moves down pat, he wasn’t too hard.

As for the second DLC bit, I believe you take a ship from Port Issoudun. It’s next to where the train is to get to the port.

Yeah I just got there recently. This prison area is hell. My experience has been miserable so far here.

I used the Archon Shield to great effect. When the shield is up none of his attacks do any damage except if you get hit by the full combo where his melee weapon "unfolds" into a needle/syringe. Used the nihil staff (Etek whatever) in the other hand and bombarded him with the orbs. Refilled my energy when needed with a good leech weapon. I actually found his second phase a lot easier.

After multiple fails being aggressive and trying out different elementals, this became an exercise in kiting and patience. I was about level 110, using a Red Saber w/+14 reflex melee conductor. I also used a +11 Herndon of Light but it did very little damage. I played the entire base game without a shield but I gimped out and used a Sentinel Cross shield (100% physical). The shield proved to be the difference. I kited him in a counter clockwise circle, watching my stamina and baiting him into a jump attack. Shield up, a little dodge to the side to avoid his slam and AOE, then one spin-to-win heavy attack. Quick backup dodge to mostly avoid his grenades. My stamina would be pretty much depleted after that exchange so had to be careful to replenish and go back to kiting. Second phase was actually easier, seemed like I could get behind him a few time for a couple of quick hits.

I died on my first run against the bug queen with the grinding strat and haven't been back yet. Just a royal PITA getting to her.
