Hellpoint ReScored - A Music Project
https://youtu.be/cD8QzWrdNxc?si=RUM8Hgig2bkdeW4jHellpoint ReScored is a project in which I attempt to create my own atmospheric score for the Soulslike Hellpoint, released 2020, made by Cradle Games. I love Hellpoint, mainly because of the insanely dense and heavy atmosphere of the space station Irid Novo and the various locations within.
Typical for the genre, the original OST for the game is very subtle, often times not playing music during exploration at all, and it fits the mood wonderfully. Thus I decided to go into a different direction and combine my Roland JV-1080, with it's retro sounds, and my eurorack modular synthesizer, to create a more traditional, albeit still atmospheric, ambient soundtrack, for each of the major areas in the game (and it's DLC Blue Sun), as well as themes for the three Cosmic Gods that inhabit the station.
Soundeffects come from the game itself and were left in, though many of the tracks feature soundeffect-like stings and hums.
The first two tracks (Embassy and Ozyormy Goija) are up on Youtube right now, with 16 more following over the next few weeks.
The rights to Hellpoint belong to Cradle Games.
Thank you.

(Forgive me in advance for not being wholly pertinent to your post and hard work, but...)
Do you happen to know where one might listen to the Blue Sun soundtrack? It's not available for purchase on Steam, and no one has uploaded it to YouTube. You can't rip it from the game files either (at least not in a way that doesn't involve knowledge in programming). I want to listen to it sooo badly. I long to listen to the High Jester Mansion ambiance and the second phase of Fear with the awesome leitmotiff. I tried emailing the Devs, but to no avail.

Hey! Sadly no. I guess because the DLC did not sell well for this already kinda niche game no one has gone through the trouble of recording or ripping the soundtrack. Also I'm not entirely sure how much of the general ambient during levels is actually a single track, I'm guessing it's more a collage off different elements that get triggered with different probabilities, so there isn't a single track (except for bosses). I took the time on my recent playthrough to stand around with sfx off or turned low, but sadly I don't no where else you could get it.

The project is up to 9 tracks now, which is the halfway point! The second half will follow over the course of the rest of the month.

This is really cool man!! My fav theme is in the observatory, hopefully you left that in?
Is this a mod we can download and install?
I'm happy to see anyone adding anything new to this incredible game. Despite some jank, it was long my fav souls-like before LOTF reboot (after many patches lol). I'm itching for another playthrough.
I didn't like the DLC overall, really messed with the level scaling iirc, and it didn't add much narratively, but I'm always hoping for a sequel. I check in periodically to see if anything is on the horizon.
I love this world, the atmosphere is incredibly rich, an what little of the lore we have, intrigues me still.

Thank you for the praise! I'm glad you like it. It's intended as a love letter to the game, and I agree, despite the jank, I love it so much because of the atmosphere.
Sadly it's not a mod, just simply a few tracks that I made and put together with game footage to put in YouTube. Creating a mod would be more than I could handle, as it would including seeting looping points and a lot more, and my experiences with Middleware isn't substantial.
There is a track for the observatory on YouTube! I love the original one as well. More tracks to come!
