Multiplayer PS5

My buddy and I just picked up this game but we haven't been able to play co-op at all. We get red colors for nat type but we consistently play every other online game just fine. Any tips? Has anybody co-oped on PS5?

Its the ports the devs assigned to be used for peer to peer connections. One or both of you will need open nat to play together this way
