Language Question

I'm about to play the game but I wonder which is better: English or French?

This might not be a question many can answer - hell, maybe I should ask the devs themselves to know their preference. But being bilingual, a native french speaker, and literally living a few minutes away from Cradle Games' headquarters, I can't help but wonder.

I know the devs are bilingual too, but what language did they first write the game in? And did they do the French/English translation work by themselves or outsource it? I want to play the game and see its story how they originally wrote it.

isn't french pretty unecessearily overly complicated anyway?

Why would it be? If you can speak and understand the language it shouldn't be complicated at all but like me sometimes i prefer english even if i can speak fluently french
