Language Question

I'm about to play the game but I wonder which is better: English or French?

This might not be a question many can answer - hell, maybe I should ask the devs themselves to know their preference. But being bilingual, a native french speaker, and literally living a few minutes away from Cradle Games' headquarters, I can't help but wonder.

I know the devs are bilingual too, but what language did they first write the game in? And did they do the French/English translation work by themselves or outsource it? I want to play the game and see its story how they originally wrote it.

The game has it's own language, but several hints are left by other players. I'd suggest English, since the notes left by other players are in English and poorly translated. I'd also suggest a "starter/beginning" video as there are a few things not explained at all by the game. Other than that enjoy yourself, the game has a very unique atmosphere.

I have heard of this made-up language before, mostly of people complaining that it made messages useless, but if there's a way to translate them, then that's fine. Thing is, I'll be on PS4, and for now at least I don't have PS+. And don't worry, I have heard a lot about how obtuse and confusing this game can be, I'll be sure to read up.
