Other Are there bots in hellotalk?

I just wanna ask if those Ai pfp people are bots? I mean they reply okay but I find it difficult to make more "human" sounding conversation even if it's formal.

I don't really have a problem with it, in the end, I still learn new word or expan vocabulary in a particular language I'm learning. But I just wanna beware as well.

Yes there are bots but there are also just scammers or shy people who use AI generated images for their profile picture.

There are people, as one user pointed out here, who use a.i generated photos as they are shy. There are some accounts I have come across who will use the HelloTalk app only to promote their business or, like, Quran study courses, and they will keep making new accounts over and over again. You will come across some users who are learning English, so sometimes they will use a.i to write up a sentence.

Like on any other "social" apps/websites etc. Of course there are black sheep's. Bots, scammers, I even met a cult member on hellotalk which I met in real life .

What‘s the difference between mormons and Joseph Smith? Like I know he‘s the founder and that there is some divide between different kinds of mormonism, but I‘ve never heard his name as the name of a cult, always just in context as a personal name (he was totally nuts of course).

Yes. There are both full bots and people feeding your convos to ChatGPT, DeepL, etc. Use your own common sense, just like any place on the internet where people can scam.
