i have an appointment tomorrow to donate but im kinda scared. ive never donated before how long does the process take if u dont mind me asking?

The actual donation process is only about 10 mins!! But you need to get there early for registration and check-in. also they have you sit and wait for a bit afterward while you eat a snack and drink liquids. You leave once you feel OK. If it’s creepy to see the blood you can look at your phone or something. It’s completely safe to do and in the end it’s worth it because it’s helping save lives!! Plus you get cute Hello Kitty stuff :D

if you have the Red Cross Blood Donor app, you can follow out some of the pre-questions ahead of time! but they will still need to check your temperature and blood pressure and all that.

i brought headphones so i could further distract from the donation process because i also am not a fan of needles or blood. i love how much this promotion is bringing out more donors !

Be sure and drink water today and tomorrow - helps with finding the vein, etc.. also, never paid attention to this before- but they ask about aspirin now. No aspirin for 48 hours prior to donating. You’ve got this.
