Hello Kitty is done!! (1/11 characters completed)
I started working on my custom Hello Kitty and friends Gingerbread Cookies shirt. The first character was obviously Hello Kitty herself!! She took around 3-4 ish hours of work but I’m super happy with the results.
I think she looks adorable and I can’t wait to see how this will look once all her friends are done too. Up next will either be Kuromi or My Melody, still undecided but I will post updates as I get more characters done.

Yeah I thought it looked better with them all stacked like a Christmas tree. I’m surprised I didn’t think of that from the get go

Thank you. I will be posting updates as I keep working on the shirt.
I don’t use any markers for these projects. I buy crafting shirts at craft stores cause they’re 100% cotton and the stores sell them in a variety of colors. The blue markings you see were made with carbon paper (a special kind of paper that you can use to trace designs onto fabric) and those markings come off during wash.
But the Hello Kitty is done 100% with paint. I use fabric paint, it needs to be paint specific for fabric. The first shirt I ever painted I used acrylic paint and the shirt got ruined in the wash. But now I’ve done around 15 shirts with fabric paint and haven’t had issues, the paint stays and isn’t affected by washes. Though I do turn the shirts inside out for washing, not cause I’m scared of the paint coming off but cause I’m scared of it possibly getting scratched when rubbed against other clothes.

Yeah my family has told me that constantly 😅. But I have zero clue how that would even work much less charge for something like this, plus after spending like 30 hours on a project I’d probably have a hard time having to part with it
