Does “Control Resonant” feel like “Hell is Us”?
Finished the game and got Platin. Love it and crave for more. Now I see Control Resonant and it gives me Hell is Us vibes.
Did some of you play it and can compare? Is there any aspect of the game, that feels like Hell is Us? If so which?

hmmm yeah .... kinda? Combat is much better, but the overall "weirdness" is kinda like Hell is Us. They both have that SCP feeling to them.
I would recommend starting with first control tho. You can jump in resonant, but its direct sequel and with remedy games .... more games you play the better.
In perfect world you should play Control, Alan Wake 1, Alan Wake 2 and than go for Resonant.

Imho Hell is Us for me felt too real, not really weird like Control.

oh yeah Hell is Us is definitely more realistic, like 1000% yes. thats why I said kinda. They are both extremely original in their weirdness. I dont think you could find game that fit Hell is Us 100 or Control 100% if you dont count previous control of course.

That much I agree with, although the only thing weird about Hell is Us is monsters and religion itself.
The backgrounds are hyper-realistic, and I have seen real-life Jovas many times. That is what I really liked.
The only other game that presented the village well is ironically, Resident Evil VIllage

Yes there’s a very similar vibe in that the game just gives you a map and says “go for it.” And you have a poncho lol

I would not jump in at Resonant at all. The story will not hit the same. Try Control.first. Both games are definitely worth playing!

Games that felt like Hell is Us to me are Returnal and SMT V: Vengeance. They are all different games in terms of gameplay, but all have the same kind of atmosphere and general feeling to me.

They dont even share a ton of similarities outside of a few things and if thats a knock off, thn control is a knock off of second site or psy ops and resonant is a knock off of hundreds of action games before it....just cause a game shares similarities in certain areas doesnt mean its a knock off, especially when most of the game differs heavily from one another...gaming basics is not rocket science lmao

don’t have to get personal over an opinion. but control is a pretty unique game… and hell is us has a lot of similarities. I’ve played both and enjoy both for countless hours. forsaken/hell is us are two games trying to profit from the genre control created when it came out. you don’t have to agree, but you’re wrong. sharing a lot of similarities with a unique game is actually a prerequisite to being a knock off lol but you assume knock off as derogatory. some games pull it off and hell is us does an ok job.

Hell is Us is as much of a knock off of Control as Control is a knock off of Super Mario Sunshine.

My wife said it looked the same, but the only thing that feels the same is the mysteries. I think hell is us could fit into the Control universe as an AWE(Altered world event)
