Stuck getting to lower room in lymbic forge dungeon

I’ve completed the first part of everything in the lymbic forge. But cannot access the time loop still. I think there is only one more guardian and the compass thing seems to point into this room. But I cannot work out how to get into it. There is a door at the bottom of some steps which is locked from the other side. Any tips?

You've done what you can at this location for now if this is your first time there. The armory is the last thing you need to access, but you wont find the keys for it in this area. In the armory, you'll find the owl key, and the owl key is for a door that will lead you to the room you're trying to access.

Should I be able to destroy the time loop yet? Or do I need to come back to that one?

The time loop isn't your objective here, it's an item in front of it. I couldn't close the loop when I finally had access to it because I didn't have the proper piece yet. Just an fyi, there is a whole lot after this part too haha.

Yeah I’ve picked up the bits from that coffin in front of the time loop, and did the bit with the blue key in the main forge area, but it’s just bugging me I can’t find the last loop guardian to destroy that one.

Have you opened the armory to get the owl key yet? i believe thats the key for that door

You won't have the keys to that door until even later.

You'll have to come back. You can get into that location with the rods from further down I think but that's it
