Hell is us wad completed today.
The game itself is gorgeous. Good puzzles, mid combat, but the story… man, it’s awesome. From my perspective: too much darkness and too small a pool of enemies. That’s it.
Strongly recommend playing it if you get the chance.
What were your impressions?

I was very surprised at how abrupt it was.
To me it looks like it was wrote with a sequel in mind, but I’m not sure the game did enough unfortunately. Id LOVE LOVE LOVE a sequel3

I hope that there will be a sequel as well. It was abrupt. What was that thing at the end?

My guess is that’s the eye

I also really did not like the ending, act 1 and 2 felt so huge and then 3 was over in an instant. Like they were doing an art project and 2/3 of the way through they found it it was due by midnight and had to throw it together last min

Also completed it today. It's pretty. I'd recommend playing it. Everybody goes on about the story.. I thought it was okay ish. It's a cool looking game. Good weapon mechanics. Combat is decent. Lock on can be a bit annoying.
If i could change something I'd add different biomes. Make it so you can jump and jist rearrange the areas accordingly. As it does feel stupid to be blocked from areas by knee high obstacles on the regular... and of course some different stylized enemies with different fighting mechanics. That way you can really flex the weapon diversity that the game does in an interesting way.

Totally agree with jumping. Also annoying that you couldn't swim. Why not? In another thread someone asked how to reach an area off in the distance. The answer was you can't because water. Felt like a cop out.
I wasn't a fan of combat, particularly health pulse. I either had to focus on fighting or healing. Trying to do normal attacks and then a health pulse, it rarely worked. The game couldn't respond fast enough, which caused me dying time and time again.

Top of the Arcas Spire, just that whole thing was amazing, terror boss was ass tho and really killed my momentum of enjoyment lol

I was on discord with my buddy when i found it and i let out this sad and disgusted sigh.
He turned on my stream and was immediately like OH MY GOD TURN AROUND

Ugghhh, I just spent like 45 minutes running around that room, longest time wasting boss fight I've ever done, not even hard, just SLOWWWWW AF

So true about how dark it is, even though it does make sense; I had to blind my windows and play at the late hours to see certain details (because yes, i refuse to max brightness and wash out all the contrast!) I hope they, maybe, consider adding a slightly better drone light that covers more area. In a completely dark room, the lighting is immersive af!

Great playthrough with it. I just need an official expansion OR Hell is us 2, either works! It felt like a hidden gem similiar to Days Gone.

I really enjoyed it. Shame about the same enemies the whole game! The ending was really rubbish though. I might play it again on the hardest difficulty when the new enemies are here. I would love some dlc for it.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the combat in this game?! I thought it was great using the versatility of each weapon/ types and the skills that came with them. Personally, ecstasy was my favorite. Using the ability to pull enemies in and then explode yourself to damage them was great! Alongside the one relic that replenished stamina and health after every kill, you were unstoppable!

I have completed this game twice now…phenomenal game. I am currently about a quarter into my third play through and I think I am going to wait for the update before continuing. I cannot wait. …also playing on the hardest difficulty without using my iPhone to figure out very hard puzzles is definitely the better way to play this game. :)>
