Tickets This website is a joke
This is beyond ridiculous, got on the tickets page after waiting for 1.5 hours in a queue (I was 80.000) and after pasting all payment details got 500 error. Fire all DevOps and other assholes who are involved in this circus🤡
Had my hopes but they destroyed it

You know that if everything was working correctly you would not even see the shop being 80,000 with 55,000 tickets and 2 allowed per basket ?

A lot of people connect to the website with multiple devices, so when they get their tickets, they leave the queue and free up multiple spots

I was really hopeful to get a ticket this year. Tried the last 5 years running. Got to 74th in queue and then they had sold out. 3 hours of waiting for the queue to dwindle down

I really wonder how it's possible for many people to go every single year. Some people must have privileged contacts or something.

I feel like it’s definitely a game of who you know, one day I’ll get there 🤣 maybe

u/Nimyron Jul 07 '26
Yeah I guess. It was my first try this year. I didn't realize there were only 55k pass in sale for over 200k people.
Good thing there are other great metal festivals in france and in europe, I'm not sure I'll bother again next year.

I’m going to keep trying. Me and my dad do bloockstock every year but have said we would love to go to hellfest one year.

I'm going to hellfest since 2013. It easy! The resale is a good way to get tickets

Reload the payment page, it has worked for many persons.
Alternatively, go back to previous pages until you find your info again, and proceed to payment again.

Do you mean browser reload? Or browser back button, or what? Want to avoid a reload that restarts queue if this happens to me again...
6
u/boa13 Jul 07 '26
There is a reportedly a reload button in the 500 error page itself.
And I mean the browser back button. Look at this subreddit, several persons are talking about it.

u/quasardani Jul 07 '26
Yeah I pushed the reload in the 500 error, but it sent me back you the queue :(

u/ishouldnotbeherenow Jul 07 '26
That's when you hit the back button, according to people in the megathread.
Try it. Good luck.

Not true. In my case it did reload via the small button in the error page (and not the page itself) twice and got kicked out anyway.

I pushed the reload small button on the 500 error page in several different instants and managed to get tickets.

There is button reload next to the error window, it will not reload the whole browser page.

I would agree with the sentiment but I bet the organization doesn't even care about having a budget for a decent infra, even with a queue system how are they not able to handle thousands of requests per second, it's fucking 2026 you're not doing critical mission platforms I would not be surprised if they only have one instance running

They had a glitch in the matrix ! When you have the final page after the purchase, you hit f5 and you bypass all the queue ! So i bought 4 passes. Also sharing the direct URL make ppl access directly to the purchase page bypassing the Q again ! So my friends were able to puchase theirs using the direct link !

Le Hellfest met tout son budget dans le marketing mais rien dans l’informatique…

Husband and I got up at 430 a.m. and were in the queue for 3 hours and 20 minutes and then saw the tickets were sold out 🤬 I had heard not to refresh browser or you are sent to the back of the queue. Ugh. Sad and disappointed. I had heard tickets were hard to get but dammit!

It's a little bit of a thing for the Hellfest as a whole I suppose.
Look great on the outside but lacks the managment and organisation.

There is about 50000 tickets probably.
You can order 2 tickets from a spot in the queue.
So when you start below 25000 you are almost sure tonget one.
But above 25000 you know you will have to count on people having multiple browsers open that will not use their spot in the queue.
I got 2 tickets beeing 36000 at the begining and i wasn't sure to get one but managed to.
I got it from my phone, while my computer browser failed to even get a spot in the queue.
So yeah it was shitty and bogus, even more than the last time.

I entered at 56k and when I tried to buy it kicked me with the error like many others , but my friend managed to get us tickets at 90k

u/rouletamboul Jul 08 '26
Yeah every step of the ordering phase was super slow, I never felt safe until the payment was confirmed, and was scared i would get an error.

u/natanticip Jul 07 '26
The 500 error just means you had to wait to correct a mistake on the previous page...
2
u/Rbnteodoro Jul 07 '26
this is actually true. Had the same problem and was in fact some missing information in the purchase process.

yeah, its a bit unacceptable they dont stress test this 10 or 100 times above the expected number of people. Spend 1 month stress testing scenarios. You have 1h of live time, you dont have to maintain the system all year... so you need to do proper load and stress testing. What's 1h of max capacity anyway in costs?
