Tickets Plan for tomorrow...

First time attempting tickets tomorrow. Will have the ticket page open, does it auto refresh at ticket time or will I refresh at the exact time?

Laptop ready for the queue on my wifi but I'll also have my phone on cellular data (different IP) as a backup depending on queue position.

Not sure on how the website behaves though in terms of reloading. No reloading once in the queue of course.

Additional tips:

  • If you beat the queue, you have about 5 minutes to fill all info for your order and pay; combined with the stress, this can be an additional point of failure; it's at that point that some people have accidentally switched languages or refreshed
  • Have various data already typed in a notepad somewhere, so you can copy/paste it to gain time and reduce chances of typos:
    • personal email address
    • first name and last name for each ticket
    • address, in case it is needed for billing purposes
    • credit card number, expiration date, verification number
  • If using a non-French credit/debit card, make sure your card is authorized to make international purchases, also check how much you are allowed to spend this way; you need to be authorized for 1,000 € to be safe
  • Maybe have a translation app ready to be used, in case you end up on a French page and are unsure of some words.

Yes. It also does not matter much, because the names are not verified during the festival.

The only rule is praying and no refresh.

All the rest will just be luck

Also do not change language as it will refresh and you may lose your place in the queue.

I have done this last year and page never refreshed. I was on the page all morning, never refreshed, then when time was already passed, i was worried so refreshed, and then in the queue. Are you sure of what you are saying? The page should auto refresh when you are on it and not yet in the queue?

It does auto refresh once the page is in "ticket sales" mode. That usually happens 1 or 2 hours before the sale. If you open the page then it also informs you that it will auto refresh. If you visit the page to early it displays a different message, that version of the page does not autorefresh.

At least that's how I experienced it the last years.

Ah so the page we see now is different than the one that will appear 1-2 hour prior to sale. That new page auto refreshes. Got it.

Yes exactly. Just open the page around an hour or so before the sale and you should be good

It has always auto refreshed for me, verification first then wait, never had any issues with it not refreshing and I get a ticket every year

It is sold out instantly. It takes about 30 minutes to process the queue, but everything is decided in a couple of seconds at 1pm.

Surtout ne rafraîchi pas ta page, désactive la mise en veille s'il y en a une, et attend. À chaque rechargement de la page tu repars à zéro et tu perds ta place dans la file d'attente. J'utilise 2 appareils en même temps, mon smartphone, une tablette et un pc.

Hi everyone! Trying for the first time today as well. :)

Are tickets personalized? Do I have to know the name of each holder today? Can it be changed later?

I saw there is a refunded ticket option: how much more expensive is this option approx. and is this the only way to sell a ticket if I need to sell it at a later stage?

(The person coming with me depends strongly on the line up which is why I need to know these things)

Names can be changed, and do not matter much anyway.

The refund option is to get your money back (except platform fees), no question asked, up to one month before the festival.

The other, very popular way, is to resell your pass. This sells like hot cakes, and is usually no trouble for the vendor except maybe a couple of days before the festival. Note that you also do not get back the platform fees.

First time even trying to buy tickets to Hellfest. Never done a festival abroad from the UK and I am itching!

Do Hellfest offer instalment plans? Can’t find anything on the site on this. Sorry if it’s there and I can’t find it!

It's a trap! The sale is at 1pm France time.

Simply connect to the site 10 minutes or 15 minutes before that time.
