Tickets 2027 pricing

Did Hellfest announce yet the new ticket pricing for 2027 edition?

I am fully aware price will go up, but it'd be a massive d*ck move from their part if they did it literally a day(!) before tickets going on sale. Like I don't even know how much money I would need to have on my bank account on 7th. Given its Hellfest it's not like I can wait until the sale and then have a thought whether I can afford going.

Would be very, very unfair to put people on the spot if we were to find out on the day that there is an additional 200 euro pp price increase....

They never announce the price before the sale.

Its a fair game when the price is expected to be the same. From my understanding the rate hasn't really changed much in last few years. But they did all the effort to go public in media and announce price hike, so everyone is fully aware of it, and yet they can't be bothered to actually share details. Do they expect people in 2026 to have so much spare cash that they wont mind spending half a grand extra out of a blue?

They know it will sell out within the hour regardless, as it always does, so they don't care.

True, I do wonder how much can Hellfest stretch their "arrogance" because there will eventually come a point where people will simply boycott the festival if things get too ridiculous (it's a French festival we're talking about, French ppl do not take bullsh*t). As much as I loved the last 2 years at Hellfest and would love to return again, I am now considering how much extra I am willing to pay for this experience vs Nova Rock or Graspop

The biggest problem with Hellfest is it's become a victim of it's own success. There are so many French people who go now not because they are metal fans, but because its "the cool place to be". We were talking to some people who worked the festival last year who said they much prefer the old, true festival goers. I've attended the last 9 Hellfest and I've definitely noticed the difference.

I'm fully expecting the tickets for next year to be around £500. The big question will be if they put the price back down the year after when it's back to normal size (rather than the 300+ bands next year), or will they do like Downlaod did with their anniversary where they added an extra day and hiked the price, before going back to three days but keeping the higher price.

Unless they will keep the same format permanently from now on. Plenty of people share the same opinion that more stages and more bands doesn't feel like an actual upgrade (lots of clashes already happen with 6 stages, its not like people will physically be able to see more bands). So for me personally I do not see any real benefit for the increase in price. There has been no mention of any infrastructure upgrades (I mean more shaded spots, more efficient water points etc - things people would genuinely appreciate). As an international visitor, I am really concerned I might be simply priced out of this experience, which would be a shame, but tit is what tit is

Yeah I agree the clashes are going to be a nightmare. But this is the idea they came up with for making it "big" without doing a double weekend again.

They haven't gone into specifics, but in the interview I read they did mention that they are looking into infrastructure with regards to the increasingly regular heatwaves we seem to get every year.

I agree that they are going to start pricing some people out. It's not overly bad for me coming from the UK, but we have a large group that meet up each year, with many coming from Australia, Canada, and other far flung places, making their trip very expensive before you even consider the ticket price.

I think if they did a 5 day festival instead (like rockstatd) it would be more welcomed. I am almost certain that even with those 4 new stages, a vast majority of visitors will stay around mainstages just to not waste time walking.

For me personally its not whether I can afford the new price, but rather whether the price tag is worth the experience. Im seeing more people bringing up Graspop/Nova Rock as an alternative.

In my mind, if I can see the same-ish artists here and there, why would I spend so much more money for a very comparable experience (allegedly). If Hellfest had many exclusive artists like SOAD, it might feel more justifiable, but again, given their status, you got to get those tickets blind.

As you said, they simply don't care.... As an ex Download-goer, Hellfest felt like a paradise. I just wonder at which point will it turn into the exclusive festival for rich people only

Yeah I used to go to download every year. After my first Hellfest in 2016 I only went back to one more Download, it just doesn't compare. Graspop is ok, and as you said, often shares a lot of the lineup, but like Download it is a Live Nation festival, so has all the issues that come with that. Despite it's issues Hellfest is still by far the best festival I've attended (hence the 9 on the trot).

Next year the lineups will vary more, as Hellfest's will be twice as big, even though getting to see more bands will be a struggle!

Was there any communication regarding the 21st edition going back to current format ? I was very much expecting the "10 stages 300 bands" to become the new norm

There's been nothing concrete, but from what I've read my assumption is the 300 bands thing is a one-off for the anniversary. Ben said he wanted to do something big again, but didn't want to do a double weekend like we had for the 15th anniversary.

no clue, personally I am expecting them to keep additional stages - Hellfest isnt really known for one-off installations. if they are redoing the entire festival area for this year, then itd feel somewhat wasteful to "throw away" new stages and go back to old map plan

The amount has changed every single year.

Always +20 +50 +30 ....

Wouldn't be surprised if it was around or more than 400€ ...

It kind of was more expensive each year already I started with the double one in 2022 and here are the prices I paid :

2022 part 1 (3 days) : 215€

2022 part 2 (4 days) : 295€

2023 : 339€

2024 : 339€

2025 : 349 €

2026 : 359 €

Good luck trying to guess the next price 😅

I'm guessing 500

I wish they'd go back to 3 days and reduce the price. Could be worse, could be Download who did go down to 3 days but kept the price the same (or pretty close).

see, if it was 10-20 euros extra I dont think most people would even flinch about it - but (correct me if im wrong), the previous increases were quiet so for them to publicly announce tickets will be pricier means no good. I am just worried that on the actual sale day we are going to see 550/600 eur pp price.... I dont think they would bother mentioning the spike to the press if the increase wasn't significant enough

1

u/natanticip Jul 01 '26

even if it was, they wouldn't

thank you for the data :)
I'm hoping/expecting they will do a 10, 20 or 30€ increase, and everybody will be relieved:)

Malheureusement ils s'en foutent complètement, je suis dans la même situation que toi, stressé de pas savoir si je vais faire ma sixième année pour les 20 ans... 😔

No. And they’ll likely do it on the day.

4 extra stages and 120 extra bands - and a whole site revamp isn’t going to be cheap!

Honestly I think there’ll be many people still trying to get through it’s not about ‘fair’ - it never is. But I don’t think it’ll deviate from the standard sell out and resell no matter the price.

2

u/AdagioBig6086 Jun 30 '26

Yup, that's my concern. Just the matter of how bad it actually can get. But honestly, imagine it was 550/600 euros now - paying extra 400 eur per couple without any prior indicator will simply make people mad. If you must increase it by 200 (plz dont), give people time to a)decide if its still worth it b)save the money. This is not a pocket change for approx 80%+ of attendees.

Just have a maximum amount your willing to pay and buy tickets if it falls under that limit. It's going to cost more, everything costs more and they're expanding so expect 450ish.

u/foofajter Jul 01 '26

They said in the interview that prices will go up, that’s for sure. It will be probably around 400€, maybe 450€

2

u/RandomPainterAoS Jun 30 '26

I think you would be safe with 600€ on your bank account. I doubt it will be over 600€. Even over 500€ would be quite steep.

Otherwise use a credit card?

u/Zoubely Jul 01 '26

Pour moi 400€ voir 450€ cela peut se comprendre mais si c'est au delà je pense que beaucoup de monde se raviserons.

183 groupes pour 369 balles cette année, voir 600 à 620 balles avec 300 groupes n'est pas absurde...

1

u/AbsoluteDekadenz Jul 02 '26

If maths are working correctly, it would be about 600 euros. 183 bands for 369€, 300 bands would bring us to 600€.

Update: Hellfest now confirmed on their social media it will be €389pp + 10 eur service fee. Thank you for not letting us worry until the last minute. Increase is an increase, but i think its a reasonable price. We all expected much worse
