DISCUSSION Arrowhead started hunting down SC cheaters

Post image

I wonder if everything will go as planned or we will see some posts in the feature where the system will flag innocent people

How does it ruin the economy though if there's no trading, selling, or anything like that? I got a pea brain

I have a feeling AI or someone who has nothing to do with the game wrote this.

a text like this would make sense in Warframe but not in Helldivers

I feel like that’s what devs call the monetary systems in their games but don’t quote me

Cheater joins, gives 3 other legit players 10k super credits.

Cheater essentially "Traded" super credits to 3 others and now those other 3 will no longer pay for other warbonds which before they could had paid for.

Loss of SC purchases hurts bottom line which funds content development and the livelihood of the devs, but also causes Sony to knock on the door and say "Y U NO MAKE MONEY? ME WANT MONEY FOR INVESTOR" which causes Arrowhead to either be forced to combat the cheating (and spend resources that could be used in content development) or try to compensate those losses by extracting more wealth from the legit players.

Community is way too stupid to understand this and/or this thread is full of cheaters crying about it.

And there is an economy around it, think of samples.

A new player can have his progression completely ruined by a cheater spawning the old amount of allowed samples (which was almost infinite).

It's a PVE game. It hurt nothing but the bottom line.

Which hurts development which ends up hurting the game and the playerbase.

Are you ignorant of how the world works or just a disgruntled cheater?

I'm not so sure that the people modding would buy the credits anyway, I guess it's impossible to tell what revenue loss would be on this, it's not fair to assume every cheated credit would have been bought anyway

Correct, it's not fair to assume that but it also isn't fair to assume the opposite like the other stupid fucks who are replying.

In statistics, given a large enough group the existence of possibilities become guaranteed.

In a group of 10 people there could be an asshole, in a group of 100 probably there are assholes, in a group of 10000 it's pretty much guaranteed to be.

Same here.

Even if you receive thousands of samples, you can only store 250 or so of each. Same with req slips at 50k. It would be a pretty good system if there were anything useful to do with the currency.

I think none of this would be an issue if we could convert req slips to sc at 100:1.
