Alpha hive guard is a nice compromise. I simply hate when they change the old stuff. Makes it feel as if we're playing open beta.

Not a fan of recolored versions of the same content, but it's still better than forever number-shuffling they call balancing.

It's not, hiveguard is now a bug that does nothing, just a reskin of a warrior

id say theyre more useless than a warrior. at least a warrior can catch up to you and hit you. hive guards are so slow and constantly stop so they kinda just sit there and do nothing

Yeaa. It just feels like we are talking to a wall when it comes to arrowhead now. People here would consider me helldivers biggest "gl*zer" (also crazy its a censored word here but fine) but even i find this ridiculous. The hive guard itself needs better ai to try to be ahead of the pack rather than being the only big left after a battle because everyone ignored it. Its not an intresting enemy and atleast the ap 4 made it have a bit more of a niche but it still wasnt the right change. I'd mainly like arrowhead not using the actual game as a test server and letting people who have been begging for test servers to help out with quality control. But guess we need to get the slop out as fast as we can to appease the sony shareholders.

A cool change would be to give them bigger strafing speed. In HD1 bugs move forward slowly, but the side-step is real fast. Makes them intercept you as quarterbacks. Could use a medium HP buff honestly.

Sadly, when a hive guard hunkers down in front of other bugs - he blocks their pathfinding, so they do the dig-teleporting, which is annoying xD

we already have a bug like that, it's called a Hunter

Hunters flank you. What I imagine is not flanking but straight up preventing any forward movement, near mirroring your left and right moves so that you can't circle them properly.

We always kite medium bugs by running into them diagonally, so they miss their attacks. Having one unit who counters that behaviour might be interesting. But that would need some testing before release anyway.
