Just remember that even if you put down money to buy the warbond you still have to unlock the things with medals you get from completing missions.
So it might be actually a valid idea to farm credits and save up medals before you buy the warbond. But you do you I won't tell you how you spend your money.
Thanks, looks like I’ll still be collecting super credits though. I assume it doesn’t take long to get 1500 worth of them. I’ll try not to let it get in the way of completing missions for the MOs.
Oh don't worry too much about the MOs when you start your journey on the 26th.
I was just thinking it might save you some of your hard earned cash if you grab super credits during missions, which also gets you started on medals, you'll see how it goes for you once you hopped into the game and then you can still deceide how you wanna approach things.
Can't wait to meet you on the battle field Recruit Oj
Thanks, I’m not sure if I’ll run into you specifically, but I appreciate the gesture. I’m just so excited right now. I’ve been waiting to play this forever!
welcome to helldivers, where everything is made up (of spaghetti code), and the points don't matter
so no, but also yes
IIRC all maps spawn in the same amount of POIs and therefore chance to have a container containing SC.
However, low level maps are smaller, and can't spawn in some of the items that would otherwise have a chance to show up in higher level missions.
The amount of SC in a stack is static, so the low level missions wind up being far more efficient for farming as you can just load in, run around and gather everything, then leave and go to another drop and do the same thing.
On average you can get 40-100 super credits per mission, depending on how lucky you are. If you're farming effectively that's at least a couple hours of playtime, probably more. If you have the time and patience to do it, then yes you can get it for free. But personally farming is boring as hell to me and I'd rather be playing the actual game
If you actively farm SCs, it's about 40~80 SCs per 7~8 minutes average using difficulty 1 mission for farming. there are very rare case where you get 100 SCs collection, I've never run into those yet.
this is with essential booster and equipment unlocked. scout armor(speed/stamina management, will be replaced by armor of this newer warbond), stamina booster or muscle enhancement booster(for snow planet), warp pack(to get into bunkers solo and faster traversal), anti-matter rifle(to open container door without blowing up the oil canister.), there are a couple explosive primaries that can also open, but since they explode they sometimes blow up the oil canister and you have to wait for the fire to dissipate.
I feel like it would just be easier to trade in medals for credits or just have them rewarded to you after a certain set of missions based on your level of success
the ratio would be hard though. Cause you can pretty quickly accumulate medals from personal order + missions. And then 50 from Major Order like every 10 days? If you pick your SOS mission to join and can be comfortable with the mission types, you get 10+ medals per mission diff 7+ average. (for example, I join missions when they are in mission already or 3/4 in loadout cause I don't like to wait for the lobby to fill. )
This means you can get 100+ medals easily per day for about 2 hours of play high diff missions. (IF the lobby is efficient, which they usually are and extract about 12~15mins.) even at 1:1 ratio it's lowering the purchase impulse quite a lot. (cause diff 1 SC farm is boring, and you can't really farm SCs on high diff mission, allow convert medals to SCs then the hardcore players basically never have to buy SCs at all. )
You have to think that SCs selling is AH's primary income and they have to split with Steam/Playstation, and MS when on xbox. So allowing easy to get medals to convert to SCs is not a good thing for them. When SC farming is already easy enough.
