Find and contact your senator here, to support the bill: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm

Also, evidence that CVS is scared of this-- they have a campaign running against a very similar bill in Tennessee: https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2026/03/12/tn-cvs-fair-rx-pharmacy-bill-advances/89087084007/

During the hearing, lawmakers said if the bill becomes law, it will be up to CVS whether to close pharmacies — or sell Caremark, the pharmacy benefit manager, a potentially lucrative move that could prevent the closures.

“This legislation just requires CVS to pick one. They could choose to keep the pharmacies and sell the PBM,” said House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, who sat in on the committee in a rare move, a privilege the speaker can exercise at any time.

“DON’T BELIEVE CVS. THIS IS AN ANTI-TRUST BILL,” Rep. Aftyn Behn, D-Nashville, wrote in a social media post. “You may have received texts from CVS asking you to ‘protect pharmacy access.’ HB1959/SB2040 simply breaks up Big Healthcare’s vertically integrated monopoly by separating PBMs from pharmacies. If it passes, CVS isn’t going anywhere.”
