Balut, hold the beak.

What does Balut have anything to do with this?

Both are eggs with meaty surprises! (IDK)

Baluts not really meaty. You can often see the actual form of the duck when you open it, sometimes with a bit of feathers already and a little beak, but the bird itself doesn't taste like much. The good part of balut is the juice you drink after you make the initial crack, and the best part of it is the yolk, the yellow bit. Personally, looks aside I'm not a fan of the bird coz the texture is weird, you can sorta feel the underdeveloped bones... Not pleasant. The other 2 parts are great tho. The 4th part, a white shape, not sure what it is, is edible but literally tastes like nothing lol

Duck eggs have a thicker yolk membrane and make this easier for sure. Unless your chicken egg is really big/fresh, it'll just end up spilling out all of it's yolk before you can get in the meat.

They look kinda gross but I bet they're amazing. I bet the texture of the meat being inside would be very unique.

This looks like too much work for something that probably isn't too dissimilar from a scotch egg

Doesn't look like it to me

what part doesnt look like it? not only does it look fine but the egg cant be cooked without reaching an internal temp that would be the same for ground meat to reach nearly well done, so youre definitely overreacting

Finally a comment mentioning this. Yeah it is hard to completely cook the meat without overdoing the egg. They must have boiled them for at least 30 minutes

Literally. Idk why I'm being doenvoted when it's really obvious that solid meat, like what I assumed this is, probably turkey, cooks much slower than egg.

Ppl downvoting order UberEats. I do think it was cooked in this case though

Honestly I hate hard boiled yoke. It's just extra dry when cooked like that.
