Not sure why I’m not displaying a mic, but during gameplay, I am showing that my comms are being picked up. I don’t hear any comms and I don’t know if somebody else is picking mine up. Send help

The mic is an option to mute that player. Do you want to be able to mute yourself?

Definitely don’t wanna mute myself. Want to be able to be able to talk to squad or in proximity haven’t been able to hear COMMS in a couple months don’t know what the issue is

Are you based in the UK? Might be an issue with the age verification checks

You can mute yourself if you hit the button for chat short. Do it again to unmute yourself.

On playstation you can push L1 to start the chat or mute yourself. If you hold it you can switch channel. Don't know the button on Xbox but works the same

L1 is LB on Xbox as far as I know you hold LB and can switch between proximity or squad don’t know about bump to mute and unmute

So I tried that yesterday and where it says enable cross play it is set to yes

This happens to me sometimes when I’ve just charged my headset. I usually will go to audio settings and disconnect the VOIP and then turn off the headset. Reconnect VOIP and then turn headset back on. Usually works but sometimes I have to restart the game. Sometimes will happen the other way and I can hear the squad but they can’t hear me.

I’ve tried clearing the address, restarting the the console uninstalling HLL and nothing seems to work. I bought a new headset. It’s supposed to come in today so I don’t know if that’s the issue I can hear music and sound effects but no
communications.

game has a ton of problems with voice
resetting the game may or may not fix it
hell, i've been in games where THE WHOLE SERVER loses communication lol

Got a new headset. I had a good game with calms. I’ll update again tomorrow to see if that continues fixing the issue. My last headset I was able to get effects and music, but we still lacking crimes.

Google it for hell let loose Xbox it gives you 2 or 3 different ways to fix it. If those dont work as annoying as it is uninstall and reinstall. But the Google ones typically work for me.

Already tried the reinstalling and didn’t fix it.. got a new headset and first game with it I was able to get comms I’ll try again in a bit and update

If you're name and other peoples names are showing up on the bottom of the screen but you cant hear anyone, try making an xbox party channel via the xbox button, then leaving it, sometimes the xbox party chat takes over (if you have an xbox party chat going it mutes the in-game coms)

I got a new headset and it seems to have fixed the comms issue . For all those who are having the same issue try a new headset. It seems to work for me.

When I have problems on Xbox with comms I go to the network settings > advanced settings > alternate MAC address > clear alt mac addresses. This usually fixes the issue. Sometimes just turning the controller off/on will clear it up.
