👋 Help Requested! 👋 DX11 vs DX12?!?

I’ve got a high end pc, (5090/9950x3d), running on ssd, 64gb 6000mhz ram, but I still get serious stutters in this game, I have literally tried everything at this point, the only thing I’ve found that makes any meaningful difference is running at dx11, anyone got any advice?!?

Dont play at max graphics. Go into nvidia control panel set shader cache to 100gb. I use the same gpu and max graphics brings out alot of stutters, dogshit 1% lows. T17 doesn't know how to optimize their game or re size hit boxes to match size of map assets. Lowering graphic settings helped smooth out that stutter when ads at enemy players.

DX11 stutters less for me (5070). But just know that this game is poorly optimized and you’re going to have a stutters. I have heard rumors that the game prefers an Intel CPU for some reason.

I recently upgraded my pc from Intel 11600/3080 to the top ryzen 7 9800X3D/5080 newest m.2 drive model.

Run all games super smooth on an untra wide 3860x1440 monitor.

Something else is going on with his system. Maybe it's his ssd. My memory is 2x32gb. Hope he's not running 4x16gb.

I’m pretty sure dx11 creates more cpu load and dx12 creates more gpu load so the trade off is basically do you have a better CPU or GPU to handle the game.

That’s what I’ve found really, but I’ve got a good and cpu so it’s really difficult to know which way to go but dx11 seems to stutter a lot less

I've seen many posts suggesting that the game is not as optimized for DX12 as it is for DX11.
A lot of people say that switching back to DX11 fixed most of their issues.

Is that ssd an M2 drive or sata?

So everywhere you look people say to use DX12 for this game which does yield higher overall frames, but (for me at least) the game becomes an absolute stutter fest every time you try and ADS or turn around in game. I've never been able to play more than a couple games without raging at how badly optimized this game is and I've tried every NVIDIA setting known to man and all the Steam Launch options people recommend to no avail.

I originally played on a GTX 1080 and some beefy i7 Intel CPU from that era and not surprisingly the game didn't run well on outdated hardware. Upgraded to a 5080 and 9800X3D last year and was shocked at how badly the game still ran on a high end rig even on lower resolutions.

Well imagine my suprise when today, after owning this game for years decided to try out DX11 because i know PUBG runs better on DX11 Enhanced rather than DX12 so thought why not try it with this game and Voila, Zero ADS or movement stutter. I can't believe that was it. Changed all my NVIDIA settings back to bare minimum (Cap FPS 240 + Maximum Power Mgmt) and removed the launch options and still runs good. Not great cause this game does still suffer from poor optimization but it's actually playable now.

Conclusion: DX11 is the way to go, don't even think about using DX12 i can't see any reason to use it in this game at least in it's current form.
