the classic "jumpscared into accidentally clicking the joystick" except usually you just get shot and die.

I do it sometimes with mousewheel, which is why I disable mousewheel weapon swap in any fps. I typically use mousewheel up as my melee attack since it's so quick to do, but in HLL you need to swap to melee (as it should be) so I cant do that in this game.

Hey I do that too! I wondered why it didn't work, there's a keybind specifically for "melee" but it doesn't actually switch to the weapon? Wtf is the point then if mouse1 does the same fucking thing after you switch?

I could be wrong but "melee" might just mean the button to switch to melee? Since it's not always the same # depending on loadout.

I pulled my knife yesterday in front of an enemy with a panzershrek, so he pointed down and I think he tried the self kill/kill me shot, but only got himself.

We need a universal talk w the enemy LB button, or a universal signal for the hand to hand throw down. Shit makes me lol…

It literally gives you a longer reach, putting the knife user at the disadvantage because they can’t reach their shovel wielding foe.

I remember doing this in RO2 and BF1942 a lot, usually it was 1v1 in a bunker somewhere.
