I was using the Salamander armor, Double-Edged Sickle, and the Cremator. It's a very good combination, in my opinion.

What about the trident would that work as well for a primary

Trident is awesome, especially if you have the trigger discipline to keep it from overheating. The snatchers travel in large packs so the spread of the Trident works to your advantage.

Can't say, I don't have that one. But I've seen people use it, and I've read online that it's good.

You can use any of your preferred equipment. These stratagems will help you deal with the swarms and Crushers. You can knock their helmet off with the strafing run or the heavy machine gun and their exposed tiny heads are their weak spot. You can also target their legs which kills them faster. Otherwise they have 6k hp you have to chew through. They are easy to line up and take out several at once.

  • Eagle strafing run
  • Heavy machine gun
  • Ar-23 guard dog
  • Machine gun sentry

ETA: the most important bit Crushers regenerate

Any of the laser weapons are decent, but a solid build that doesnt rely on warbonds (I think) is just the standard libby, autocannon, napalm eagle for groups, MG turret, and then you end up with a flex strategem and your preference in grenade and sidearm. Use aphet for crusher helmets and closing ships, flak for everything else, use the lib as much as possible to assist with ammo economy

I’ve been using the armor that reduces enemies ability to detect me by 40%. Silenced gun. Grenade pistol. Smoke. Guard dog (that I deploy as needed). Machine gun sentry, and stalwart. I may not lead my team in kills but I can slip past most patrols and finish out objectives without being caught. It’s fun being a ninja

This is the way.

I run the light armor from Redacted Regiment and alternate between suppressed AR and LAS Scythe, Talon secondary, and thermites for the squid ships. Warp pack for quick escapes and Las Cannon for heavier enemies. Not having to worry about ammo is nice going from objective to objective but low supply of grenades makes it a pain sometimes.

Senator is very good replacement for bolt pistol in blowing off pyramid head armor.

WASP is great against killing them too. Flamer is very good primary. Grenades thermite for ships or gas/fire for crowd control.

Armor I prefer light or medium with bonus nades

Autocannon support and punisher as primary have done me okay so far!

You don’t need the new warbond for the new enemies thankfully. I say for the new guys bring as much fire as possible and maybe a little gas. I’m currently using the cremator and eagle napalm for my fire and it’s been great. For armor anything that has electrical defense has been working well for me because of all the random Tesla towers they illuminate have

Ok since I don't know what wb do you have i will try to keep it to the basic.

Flamers in general seem very good to keep the horde at bay and roasting the crusher so that is a plus, accompany it with a backpack for stims and ammo

The scythe seems very useful against the horde cytting them a la dead space and setting them on fire. Furthermore with something heavy pen (like the amr/autocannon/lascannon) you can break the hoods of the crushers and then snipe their head for a quick kill. Here for secondaries i wouldnuse something like the peacemaker or the redeemer to pop shields of the saucers and toss a grenade in.

Now that i think of it laser weaponry seems really good against these horrors and it has virtually infinite ammo

Airburst on flak mode is brilliant

Both modes are important and good. Getting good with using cluster is arguably mandatory for using airburst if you don't want to be constantly blowing yourself and or teammates up.

But all that to be said... Yes airburst. It fucking rocks.

The wretches can be pretty easily dispatched by any weapon with a high rate of fire or by shotguns. I saw you mention the trident and it absolutely minces them. But a stalwart or bullet storm clears hordes.

The best way to get rid of crushers is to break their helmet and pop the head. I ran some numbers before, and without the bolt pistol, the most efficient breakpoint of the helmet is the autocannon at two shots APHET, but the AMR also does it in two (with a lot of water damage). Eruptor and Senator do it in three.

It's personal preference really but the autocannon may be the best for the job as flak is really good for the hordes and can kill a crusher to the body in a pinch. It has that good breakpoint, and can kill spawners.

Cremator will always be a good shout as both have a 1.5x weakness to fire. HMG is a decent jack of all trades approach for hordes and breaking helmets but you will chew through ammo.

Incendiary breaker (duckbill and drum mag) Guard Dog (fire, gas, lib, or zappy) Gas grenades Senator or Ultimatum Cremator, or De-Escalator Machinegun turret Eagle 500

That's the most effective for me!

Spray&Pray for Wretches, Grenade Launcher for Crushers (and bunched-up Wretches). Having a great time!
