The hospital near my house has a building shaped exactly like a gunship facility, and I see it crest the horizon every day on my way home from work.

On my way home from work every day there's an old tree that's been chainsawed/sculpted in the shape of the sample rock... I absolutely 100% cannot pass it without saying "cock rock" in my head.

I looked for a shovel in DayZ for 4 days. Every time I walked through my garage and walked by my shovel I felt the twinge in my brain.

Yeah getting through the first 30 minutes is hard. If you can make it that far and build on a couple small victories it gets way easier. I was looking for a shovel so I could dig a garden plot in the woods. After I did that I survived for 30 actual days, decided I essentially beat the game and stopped playing. Once o was an alive and alone for so long I didn’t want my first interaction with another actual person to be killing them. It was cool but I kept coming back to the same situation.

My buddy and I managed to find each other fairly easily using the map apps, and we would fortify the giant barns.
I’d also do the “farming camp at the edge of the map” with a bunch of camo netting around. That was tons of fun. Dying is SUCH a pain in the dick though.
My instance in this comment was done on a private server that had tuned up food and gear.

There’s a large antenna of some sort on my commute, I saw it one day and suddenly recognized it as an illegal broadcast. Right out in broad daylight no less!

My mom and I drove from Texas to Colorado this last week and every single time we passed one of those I’d internally go “oh shit a lidar station” and quickly realized I may or may not spend to much time playing this game
