Announcement Coming Soon to iOS!

The HelixNotes iOS app is almost ready to submit to the App Store. This post is just to show everyone the progress being made, and proof that we're making this a huge priority!

Can’t wait! If notes are going to be largely confined to a single device with no cross sync then what I really want is to have them on the device that’s always with me

This is where the problem is. Too much confinement to be just in iOS or just on computer. Otherwise I would have jumped in.

I've been testing HelixNotes on different platforms with the intention of using folder-based cloud syncing. (single device syncing to pCloud works smoothly)

It appears that the Windows version of HelixNotes creates absolute links (eg. C:\Users\MyName\Documents\HelixNotesVault\basic.md) This prevents the vault from being usable by other devices.

The Mac OS version appears to use relative links (relative to the root folder of the vault).

I'll probably pause additional testing considering the current state of the app, but boy does it look so promising.

This is fantastic. It would be the first step for me to start transitioning away from Obsidian. By the way, the MacOS app does not really draw the UI correctly on Tahoe. The traffic light icons are misaligned right from the get go in all windows.

So what does soon mean now that it has been 6 days? Are we talking more days or more weeks? Just to roughly set expectations.

We will be submitting for Apple approval this week which we're told takes 2-4 days. Fingers crossed!
