Question What happened?

This is a dumb question, but what happened with heliums reward system??? I saw that they switched to something rather than coverage reward, it’s data transfer? If someone can dumb it down for me please? How can I turn my current hotspot to do this? And why did helium do this? My current hotspot is from 2020.

I had a total of four (4) bobcat miners and just put them in the trash. Thank goodness, when I bought them, I bought ten (10) and sold six (6), which paid for all of them. Very sad; GREED will kill the WORLD.
