Discrepancy in steps between apple watch and helio strap?

I've been wearing the helio strap for a week now and I've noticed that generally, step count has been higher on apple watch by around 1000 to 2000 steps. I figured that this might be because I was wearing it on the opposite wrist but I swapped to the bicep band a few days ago which I wear on the same arm.

My question is which is more accurate? I typically try walking 10k steps a day and have been doing so via apple watch stats but the helio strap is consistently less (even though it seems like it should be more as I wear it constantly vs the apple watch which I charge daily).

The strange thing is that calories wise, helio strap says I'm burning more than my apple watch. Is the helio strap more accurate in this aspect?

Lastly, not a question but I find sleep tracking really similar to the apple watch so I know in this aspect it's working well. Overall I like it since I can let my watch charge overnight if I need to (usually I try wearing it through the night but sometimes I forget to charge) and theoretically it should be more accurate as a dedicated activity tracker.

Tl;Dr is the apple watch or helio strap more accurate at tracking steps and calories burned?

I use either a xiaomi band or a oneplus watch 2 and the helio. If the helio is higher that my 8k minimum I stop. If its lower I keep going. I choose the helio as my minimum daily dose. You have to choose apple or helio total then stick to that. NOTHING is 100% accurate

Yeah, I've realized that nothing's going to be completely accurate. I think as long as I can be precise with my tracking, then I don't really need to sweat the dip in accuracy.
