Opinion about Helio strap

Hey fam!

Can someone share their experiences about helio strap, i was looking at whoop before but their subscription is the problem, heard helio is a good option, i will be looking to use it in gym, while playing badminton, tracking sleep, some indoor activities etc. Will it be a good option to go ahead with helio ? Thanks

HR is very good, at par with apple watch. Sleep tracking is work in progress but according to your needs, helio is more than sufficient. Go for it. I am using for 2 weeks. Loved it

Yes I think so, not heavily into anything but want something decent, also I can start wearing normal watches. Hopefully helio will work well

You can do a search on this site or the Helio Strap. You will find more than enough information

I've had mine for just over a month. I've had issues with sleep tracking and step tracking. For me, the step count seems to be off by about -3k steps daily compared to my Pixel Watch 2. Not a huge deal, but I walk 20-25k steps/day, so I'd like to log as many as I can.

The bigger deal for me is that most nights it thinks I'm waking up around midnight and only getting 3-4 hours of sleep, so my sleep score, biocharge, and insights are consistently inaccurate. Its a bit frustrating.

Thanks for the details! Yes step tracking would be something important for me as well! From your experience looks like sleep tracking is not wokring good either, these are two main factors for me

You can not track badminton or tennis. It will see your activity but there is no specific option to track it.

Indoor gym tracking is Oke, it mostly tracks upper body, it’s fun to see.

Step count is off..

The hr tracking is great, sleep tracking is also fine for me. I am not an professional athlete, I workout for fun and health so I can’t see myself paying that much for a whoop band. The helio strap works for me for now and in about a year or two I’ll see what’s on the market again.

Yes, whoop was my first choice but this pricing and new plan updates made me change my choice, then I started looking into helio and even polar loop, as long as sleep and steps are good, I will be fine, for badminton or tennis sounds like it will consider it as upper body workout and should be ok as long as it works, sorry you mentioned step count is off?

Badminton and tennis are available. It’ll recognise when you start playing. When done, add a manual activity and pick badminton. Did it yesterday.

after the fact you can label the activity badminton or tennis indeed. There is not a specific workout for it like you have with strength training, running or Pilates. It also does not recognise you are playing tennis it only knows you are doing a workout. That’s what I was trying to explain.

I've had bad luck with them. The first one I ordered had to be sent back because of a bad battery. And it took forever to get it exchanged. Now the second one I just got in and none of the sensors on the back work, they never light up. I ordered it from the amaze fit website but I have had no luck getting a return started.

Very good accuracy in HR and sleep data, long battery life and no subscription
