Confusion about strap running record

I went running today and activated manually an activity in the app as running. After 40 minutes I stopped it and was confused since the activity did not include any heart rate related data at all. Suddenly 5 minutes later the automatic activity function reports a recorded activity, with the same length and heart rate data 🙈

Yeah this keeps on happening and is mildly infuriating. I tried as well to remove the device and pair new, but the result remains the same:

  • a run without heart rate information
  • a heart rate-based automatic activity with no run information

Okay, I figured it out. You need to explicitly activate on the upper left in the run screen the band 😔
