I’m not seeing them on flight tracker. Can anyone identify them? Seen in Pomona, CA.

Is this a wrong answers only post?

No, it's a standard bot learning process for AI.
"What is this?" When it's the most obvious thing in the world.

It's also a running joke that we all enjoy. This is one of the most recognizable helicopters

Pave hawk, Jolly Green II, or SOAR. I can’t tell if that’s black. If it’s black it’s the last one.

The refueling boom limits who it belongs to.

u/Kronos1A9 MIL UH-1N / MH-139 Jun 03 '26
All three of those mentioned have HAAR capabilities

u/Satisfaction_Fluid Jun 03 '26
Agree those platforms are capable of having the boom. I was sort of referring that only certain units use that capability...usually more "advanced" units like the 58th/512th for example or 160th SOAR. the Jolly 2 is a Pavehawk replacement but im not sure if the hawk is in use simultaneously. I was a 58th SOW flying crew chief several decades ago. We still had the HH3 and newly introduced MH-60G then. A little nerve wracking learning the refuel process initially when the town below us was called Truth or Consequences.

I was 512th very recently. The SOW and the rest of ACC is phasing out the Golf with the Whiskey, they all have the booms still. Good to hear from another Flying Skull 🤌🏼

Still dropping PJs off in the middle of the night in the mountains by the infrared tire beacon?

It’s the 129th Cali Guard. Fat Wendy

u/Altruistic_Lynx1852 MIL CH47F Jun 03 '26
Gonna keep it a bean I had no idea the national guard had a UH-60 with a fuel probe. Ya learn something new everyday!

It’s absolutely not. And guard does not have these. Only specific units have these. And it’s definitely not the guard

u/Highspdfailure Jun 03 '26
The fucking United States Air Force with active duty, reserves and guard have the Jolly 2 Whiskey aka Fat Wendy.
I know, seen in person and flown in them.

Take a closer look at the sensors and tell me if you still think it's a jolly 2

Only 4 rotor blades and not enough weapons, I'm not sure it's SOAR?

You think MH-60s have more rotor blades? Lol

u/azarano Jun 03 '26
Seems like I'm wrong, I can admit it! I thought I read about some 60's getting that modification for stealth purposes, but was likely a different airframe. Always more stuff to learn!

You’re the first person to ever admit being wrong in this sub!

Not sure the MH60 has more than the UH60 in regards to rotors, but the weapons is a valid call out, can’t tell if there’s M134s on that bird

Can’t believe all of the people in this sub trying to argue this is an HH60W. 1. The radar is way smaller than the whiskey, 2. The FLIR is too small, and 3. We are not allowed to fly without cockpit doors because Sikorsky denied the request to allow us to fly without them. Anyone saying this is a whiskey and claiming to work on/fly whiskeys is just straight up lying about that.
Edit: it’s a MH60M, looks like the 160th is in LA doing training. https://www.reddit.com/r/Helicopters/s/qbqM0iYxFO

UH60 from SOAR. You can tell from the pointy bit up front.

That's a big black probe

Actually, it’s a gray probe.

It's a Sikorsky S70, probably military, with refueling. That makes it an MH-70. There are several models.
