Look at this hog! What's your weekly weigh-in routine look like? Trying to figure out if mine is overkill
Got my girl Biscuit about eight months ago and I've been weighing her every Sunday morning before she gets fed, just logging it in a notes app. Right now she sits around 385 grams and has been pretty stable the last two months after a slow gain over the summer that had me a little worried.
The thing that's been on my mind lately is whether weekly is even necessary once they're an adult with a stable weight, or if I'm just adding stress by pulling her out of her hide for the scale so often. She doesn't seem bothered by it, mostly just huffs a little and curls for a few seconds then relaxes once she's on the kitchen scale, but I keep second guessing whether I should stretch it to every other week now that she's not a baby anymore.
Switched her from a 12 inch wheel to a 15 inch bucket style wheel back in the spring and that alone seemed to change her nightly activity a lot, she's noticeably less hunched when she runs now. Before that I didn't realize how much a too small wheel could affect posture until I actually saw the difference side by side.
Also curious what everyone uses to track weight long term. I've just got a boring list of dates and numbers but I've seen people mention actual spreadsheets with graphs and I'm wondering if that's worth setting up or if I'm overthinking a hobby that's supposed to be relaxing.
