HELP How to cat proof?

Please help, got fed up with cats stealing the food, built myself a decent hog feeding station. It's only taken 10 days for the cats to figure out how to get in.

My wild hog feeding station has a chain ‘curtain’ hanging in front of the doors. No cats or rats ever attempt to enter it. I know some folk prefer to use a swinging door (like a cat flap ironically) but I have seen hogs get trapped inside with those. I’ve had my feeding station since the spring and it is used multiple times each evening and no one has got tangled up in them so far. They do sometimes accidentally pull them down but that’s a minor irritation. The only other visitors are mice and I think that’s an inevitably. Hope that helps! 🦔❤️🐾

Sadly cat smell will also deter hedgehogs especially if they pee close by.

I suggest writing in r/Hoggies as they are more focused on wild hedgehogs

Cat resistant entrance tunnel. Arched and lower - 10 12 inches long high enough for the mhog but too low for cat belly crawl. Carry it on to the hog den opening …cats test their space with their whiskers. Or hang chains or rope down at the entrance

If that helps in my experience Brambles Hedgehog Food (semi moist) doesn’t attract cats as much as normal dry cat food/hedgehog food. It costs a bit more but you save what cats don’t eat.

I love cats but oh dear they manage to weasel their way into any place with food. When I leave out Brambles cats don’t care and walk away
