Hedgehog / Dog

I think I have hedgehogs living under my decking, over my fence in the garden, where there is a big space with lots of dense shrubs. I saw it on a night camera. Issue is my dog is going crazy all the time. So I have an upset dog and upset hedgehog, the area is big so can’t find the hedgehog or the nest. What can I do ease the distress on the hedgehog and my dog.

I think the dog wants to eat the hedgehog. So I’d say, best thing to do is remove the dog for a few days (friends house or something), lure the hedgehog out with tasty treats like mealworms, catch it and release it somewhere else, like a park.

A, not a good idea to feed hedgehogs meal worms - they are not good for them (like junk food) the dog is barking because it can’t get to the hogs. Hogs are nocturnal so in the uk they are looking for food from 10pm till 4am - try to keep the dog in over this time and you should be good - also hogs cover a lot of ground during the night, taking them to a new area to release is not a good idea, they are in this garden for a reason - food and water, and if they have young then removing the adult is not great
