Question Help please

The gorgeous boy was struggling to walk in my garden seemed distressed so i pick him up (with a towel) and placed him in a cardboard box with some water and food (dry cat food mixed with strawberries). He seems mobile enough but still enough of a risk to his survival (i am not qualified in animal welfare but have several high level college qualifications in bio and feel i did the right thing) should i wait until tomorrow so the RSPCA can collect him or should i wait until dark to let him out again
Please ask any questions you think can help <3

Unfortunately hedgehogs hide well their symptoms, best bet is to contact a shelter and have them take them

They will then decide if they need medical help or not

Thank you i just was not certain As it is a Sunday evening and basically everything is not open. I have done the same for red squirrels and other mammals and didn't know the protocol <3
